BTM was joined with loving hands from East Side Church, Calvary Chapel La Habra, Calvary Chapel Monrovia, and Calvary Chapel South OC. We started the day at Glenrose and Woodbury in Pasadena to assist the U-Turn for Christ team. What a privilege to come along side Pastor Gerry to help serve this community. An outpouring of volunteers were present to prepare breakfast burritos served along with prayers. Reminders of Gods love and grace was everywhere, as community members, police personal, DWP, Edison, and the National Guard shared their stories and shared their prayers.
The afternoon team was lead by Rose Hernandez and Sara from Eastside Church. They brought homemade (with lots of love…and maybe a little bacon) beans, rice and a delicious tomatillo salsa. More than 250 burritos were prepared and served.
Also Big Daddy Robert made a chili from scratch. Please don’t ask him for the recipe….because he won’t remember.
